Hot Springs, Arkansas

In October we were invited to the Oral History Association’s annual meeting; this year held in Little Rock, Arkansas. Sharing the important stories of the people of New Orleans was a major theme of the event. We were very fortunate to be able to contribute to that effort with the film.
We exhibited the Falling Together in New Orleans Trailer & Vignette One: Lewis Taylor Is Always Home. We were a little nervous, debuting the film series to a tough crowd of academics, but we had a great time and the film was embraced. We met some very interesting people & the film has already been invited to show at several universities across the country.
The real surprise was a neighboring town, Hot Springs, Arkansas. What a beautifully eccentric town! Thanks to an exceptional young woman, Jessica, our bartender at The Flying Saucer-we were able to learn of the documentary film festival going on that weekend in Hot Springs.
We rented a car Saturday morning and drove 30 miles west & spent the whole day in Hot Springs. We soaked in some springs, ate some good food, met some great artists, and watched some excellent documentaries!
We love Arkansas!
