As digital technology advances and the cost of filmmaking drops, we're seeing more artists than ever before put down the brush and pick up the editing mouse.
We think the opportunities for practical and creative achivement by independent video creators is going to be expanding at an unprecedented rate over the next five to ten years. And OPP intends to be right in the thick of things.
OPP is already producing video along a number of different thematic lines, and as we bounce between evolving technologies and formats (streaming, DVD and High Definition among them) we're searching for just the right mix of tools and techniques to give us new ways to tell stories differently.
In the video realm we are:
- A film producer for Web, DVD and High-Def, creating our own content
- A producer of cause marketing documentaries for organizations and corporations
- A distributor and merchandiser of other filmmakers' content
- A video-blog host growing a network of solo-journalists to deliver streaming content
